From J:
Accent walls are hot right now. So hot right now. Every time my wife turns on HGTV they're painting accent walls. So we figure, why can't we get in on this action? I give you the fruit of our labors this morning:
This color is called "Soft Camel." That doesn't really tell you anything about the actual color, which is an important feature of paints. We painted a wall in our bedroom "Natural." I would expect natural to be greenish, but no! It's a very light tan.
An accent wall was an excellent solution to our paint woes. A has lived in this same condo for about 4 years now. As would be expected, the walls have gotten dinged up a bit during her tenure, especially the flood we suffered last Christmas. About two weeks ago, I embarked on an ill-fated mission to color match some paint an do a bit of touch-up work. The paint color didn't match, so I ended up having to paint the entire wall to cover up the touch-ups. But it looks great now, right?
(Yes, it does.)

It's a little hard to tell the difference from the picture, but I bet it looks nice. But yeah... soft camel sounds more like something I'd like to have as a pet than a paint color.
ReplyDeleteOh! And A, I do appreciate your concern about our dip choices, however, we are in a period of statewide mourning over Brett Favre and his poor career choices and are required to fast from all cheese dips and spreads from sunup to sundown from now until the Green Bay vs. Vikings game. Actually, cheese dip is not so big around here. Cheese curds, cheese spreads, sliced cheese- all important food groups, but I've never seen much in the way of a cheese dip. Maybe that's because it might accidentally come into contact with an atom of chili powder at the factory and be deemed "too spicy".
