Awsim

We celebrated our anniversary with a pizza made by the seven-time winner of the "World's Fastest Pizza Maker" competition.  His name is Mr. Awsim (pronounced awe-some, not kidding) and he makes an awesome (couldn't help myself) margherita pizza.

Our hearts will always belong to the Blue Highway margherita pizza, but this is the best non-Blue Highway pizza we've had.

It's also gigantic.  We're still recovering.

After each eating two slices at dinner we came home with half of a pizza.  So in this battle of man versus food, food won.  But in a way man also won because we found a good margherita pizza in the area.

Five Years

Anyone remember the infamous non-lighting unity candle?

We do.  Thankfully, a functioning unity candle was not a marriage requirement.

Happy five years!

Rehearsal Anniversary

On this day five years ago was our wedding rehearsal and dinner.  In some ways it seems like it was just yesterday and in other ways it seems like a lifetime ago.

Looking forward to celebrating five years of marriage tomorrow!

First Harvest

The bad news is that some jerk face squirrel or bird ate the first ripe tomato of the season.

The good news is that I harvested our first pepper!

Luckily, our tomato plant has many more tomatoes growing so we'll hopefully have more soon.  We should also have our first cucumber of the season shortly.

Backyard Weather

Thanks to the beautiful weather, we've been spending a lot of time in the backyard.

Sometimes our neighbor's puppy will come over to play.  He and Allie are a perfect size match, but Allie definitely wins in the speed and agility categories.

Other times Allie wants to just lay on the grass and watch what the neighbors are up to.

(So do I).

(But not in a creepy sort of way.  Don't worry).
