More Snow

Forget coming up with a clever name for today's snowfall.  We're over it.  It looks like steady snowfall throughout the day amounted to just over 2 inches total.

It's a perfect day to eat some popcorn...

... and catch up on the latest Dancing with the Stars episode.

We'll come out of hibernation once the snow is gone.

It makes my day to check the webcam at Allie's daycare and see her playing with a buddy.

Yep, that's her rolling around by the water bowl with a friend.

Allie is the smallest in the "big dog" room at daycare but she hasn't figured that out yet.

Here's what we woke up to at the 'Top O the Morning:'

We certainly didn't think we'd be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with a snow day, but here we are.  No complaints from me since it gives me a long weekend to catch up on laundry.

 



However, our poor potted shamrock might have a different take on the situation.  Guess it's just the 'Luck O the Irish.'

Spring Cleaning

I've been doing a little spring cleaning and putting together a box of donations for charity.  I always feel better after sorting through things and donating what we no longer use or need.

I also enjoy coming across things I've saved, especially sentimental items.  Tonight I found the box my engagement ring came in.  And, bonus, J took it from me and reenacted his proposal.  I think Allie appreciated getting to witness the reenactment since she wasn't around for the actual proposal.

In case you were wondering, I said YES (again)!

Bring on Spring

I'm trying everything I can think of to speed up the coming of Spring.

I have Kentucky bluegrass growing in my office,

I gave myself a pedicure,

and I'm considering scheduling my spring haircut.  I get my hair cut twice a year so it's a pretty big deal.

I'm doing my best here!

Got Tools?

To start this post, let me first say:
1. J loves all of his birthday gifts and plans to use them all.
2. There was no prior discussion among any of our family regarding birthday gifts.

A few years ago, my parents bought each other the SAME book for Valentine's Day.  It's been a running joke ever since.

That said, J recently celebrated his birthday and got some really nice gifts.  Among them were:

A tool bag from me,

a tool bag from my parents,

and a tool bag from his parents.

It was pretty funny that my parents and I both got him the same thing, but I almost died laughing when J opened the gift from his parents.

After sharing what happened with my mom she suggested that J register for gifts prior to his next birthday. 

I guess great minds think alike, right?!

Allie's Snow Day

It basically snowed ALL DAY LONG yesterday.  The local media was calling the storm "March Madness" and using the hashtag #SNOMG.

Other than catching up on dishes and laundry, here's what our day was like.



We got about 6 inches of snow.



Allie COULD NOT WAIT to go outside.

She ran around like a goober.

And got covered in snow.

Which just messed up her hairstyle.

She needed cuddles after all the running around.

And by bedtime she was ZONKED OUT.

Allie and I have another snow day today since the parking lot at my work building is a mess.  However, J had to go back to work.

I love getting paid to stay at home but I'm ready for Spring.  Bring on the cherry blossoms and warm weather!

March Snow Day

Annnnnnnd, it's another snow day for us.

It seems like the natives are getting restless.
