Cause and Effect
Cause: Carrying the "prize of the century" home from the park on our morning walk.
Effect: Being completely zonked out for the rest of the morning.
Not that I'm complaining!

Play Date
Allie had a play date with her friend Annabelle yesterday. They have many interests in common, including treats and soft beds.
Who wants a treat?! |
Excuse me, I believe you're on my bed. |
psst - check out the new brick border that J installed around the shed |
Two beds for two buds - perfect! |
They seemed to have a fun time together - and they sure are cute little buddies!

Cousins
Oh, hi! Allie here.
I've heard a lot of talk lately about my "cute" and "cuddly" cousins.
Well, they aren't the only ones who are cute and cuddly.
Might I remind you of how cute I was at four weeks old?
And what about my eight brothers and three sisters? We formed a puppy pinwheel during meal time. Remember how cute that was?
And as for cuddly, I'm a cuddle expert!
Just a friendly reminder from the one and only puppy of the family.

Pup Play Day
I can't help myself!
Must... post... cute... puppy... pictures.
Allie has six new cousins who are five weeks old. Five boys and one girl.
J and I volunteered to help out with some puppy socialization! (Nice of us, right?!)
We must have been super boring, though, because we just put the puppies to sleep.
Except for this one who was very interested in J.
Puppy socialization is a tough job, but somebody's got to do it!

Welcome, Spring
It was a long winter. Never before have I been so ready for spring to come.
At long last it's finally here, and we've attacked the first few days with a vengeance.
Walking at the lake:
Planting a new holly:
Potting daffodils and a geranium:
Welcome, Spring! Please stick around for a while.

Easter Recap
J's parents visited over Easter weekend and here's the recap!
Allie enjoyed seeing her Nana and Papa for the first time since she was a little puppy. Since then, she's doubled in size and will sit still longer - especially for petting.
We toured Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House.
The guided tour was fascinating and it was a beautiful day to be outside.
For Easter dinner we went to a buffet at Mount Vernon.
The food was delicious and I just love the cute teapots there.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Getting Pretty
The mobile groomer came this morning to give Allie her first full grooming.
The mobile salon is basically a shuttle bus that's had the seats replaced with a bathtub, grooming table, and grooming supplies.
Allie got a shampoo and conditioning.
She also got brushed and trimmed.
And once she was done she looked so pretty.
Ta da!
