Leap Day

Thanks to the awesomeness that is Wikipedia, here are some interesting ('interesting' is debatable for some of the items) things that have occurred on past Leap Days:

Housing Humor

Our area has a lot of open houses.  A LOT.  It's like Parade of Homes every weekend.  So this afternoon we decided to get in on the action and tour some open houses.

Below are some of the more interesting features we saw.

At least they refinished the floors to remove the chalk body outline.

DO NOT drop your sandwich and back away from the fridge.
Although, it would make getting to the basement much faster.

Gargoyle upholstered chair and ottoman...

... to match the gargoyle mirror, of course!

Old school vice grip / torture device.

Yes, this bathroom has a bench, lamp, and curtains.
And a stylish accent pillow.

Another gargoyle, this time in the yard.
Different house than the gargoyle mirror and upholstery.
Gargoyles are the next big thing... you heard it here.

Excessive display of electrical use.

Does the recliner come with binoculars to see the television?

A very literal laundry room... the washer and dryer is in the room next to it.

Every master bedroom needs a wet bar, right?

Auto Show

Photos from this weekend's auto show:

Two floors of the convention center were filled with cars.
The top floor was domestic cars and the bottom floor was imports.

Every car manufacturer we could think of was there - except BMW.
I'm not really sure what that says about BMW.

Indoor Fiat track with parallel parking, speed bumps, and roundabouts.
We didn't watch long enough to see one break down,
but it probably happened.

Ford's latest space-saver model.  Great for narrow parking spaces.

Everything is bigger in Texas.
Even the side mirrors on the King Ranch series truck.

Doggie Fat Suit

It's like The Biggest Loser for dogs -- cheating dogs who wear fat suits at the beginning of the season.

So Much Pun

I stole this cartoon from the Facebook page of our church's associate pastor.  It's originally from So Much Pun which is affiliated with I Can Haz Cheesezburger? and FAIL Blog.

Uptown Downstairs Abbey

'Downton Abbey' has apparently become enough of a PBS hit that parodies have started being made.

This two-part parody from the BBC Comic Relief Night is hilarious, even if you aren't very familiar with the series.
