6 Months

Allie is 6 months old today!

We celebrated by getting her stitches out and taking off her cone.

Our backseat driver on her way home from the vet.

Cone-free is the way to be.

Now it's time to play!

Kitchen Camping

Since we have a sick pup who can't sleep in her crate (the cone to keep her from licking her stitches is too big for her to fit inside), J has been sleeping with her in the kitchen.

This is love.

The Patient

I've been closely monitoring the patient this morning and here's what she's done (in addition to lots of potty breaks):

Needless to say, I've been getting a lot of work done on my laptop.

Pathetic Pup

Poor Allie seems to have a bladder infection on top of the complications from her pain medicine reaction.  She went for a trip to the emergency vet today and got an antibiotic.

Hopefully she'll be back to normal soon.  And she doesn't really want to visit the emergency vet anytime soon - it was super boring and took a really long time.

Sweater Weather

It has been so cold lately.  Well, except for mid-week when it was 70 degrees... I'm still trying to figure out where that came from.  But we paid for the warm day because we had massive thunderstorms.

This morning we had snow yet again, and our 10-day forecast shows three more days of snow.

I seriously think I need a sweater like this...

...except mine would need to have matching booties because my feet would get cold.
