Away in a Manger

This weekend at our church we had a children's nativity... INSIDE our fellowship hall.

Forget worrying about weather, just bring a bunch of animals into the church, put down some straw, and let the kids go wild petting them.

That's how we roll.

Allow me to introduce you to our cast of animal characters.

Blossom
Cheech
Cream
Norman
sleepy schnauzer
oops - she wasn't there
Stella and Stephanie
Nameless Bunnies
Cheech was my favorite - he was so sweet.

Random factoid: Cheech has performed at the Kennedy Center thanks to his willingness to stand in one place eating hay for hours on end.

Christmas Lights

Our lights don't quite measure up to this neighbor (the lights are choreographed to music you can listen to on your car's radio):

Or to this neighbor (who also attends our church):

But we put up our lights yesterday and we think they're cute:

Our neighbor's granddaughter told us that she likes them, so we've already had a compliment!

Then and Now: 4 Months

As of today, our Allie is 4 months old.  Here's a comparison between then (2 months old) and now (4 months old).

Driving School

This weekend is Allie's second puppy kindergarten class.  Her classmates consist of two 10-week old labs, two 6-month old dachshunds, and a 3.5-month old beagle.  During the first class she mostly just wanted to play with the other puppies and "their people."

After she finishes puppy kindergarten, we're signing her up for doggie driving school:

I foresee the number of cats hit by cars increasing drastically.

This and That

Three random thoughts...

1. Begin your holiday Tic Tac hoarding NOW - check out what they're selling for!  This looks to be an even better investment than Twinkies.

2. I found what I want Santa to bring me for Christmas.

3. Our dog thinks she's a cat.
